The book takes you with Katie on her journey from cosy family life in London to sunny (too hot) Sydney, where nothing and no-one is quite as she expects, including herself. It's a fun read, sometimes sad, and always entertaining.Kendra Smith has captured the real Northern Beaches in Sydney, it's beauty, beaches, dangers and the strange Aussies that live there. Oh, and yes there are dangers, everywhere!

Great characters that I could well imagine as being friends of mine! I laughed and cried with, and for, the characters and their predicaments as I read the entire book in a day! I can't recommend this highly enough - well done Kendra Smith.............looking forward to the next installment.

If you've ever wondered about relocating to another country with your family, this is a great way to experience the adventure and the upheaval. It's funny, tender and very real all at the same time. I really enjoyed this. Good twists and really makes you think about what we value in life.
