4 of 5 people found the following review helpful. Bland By akornroach I must say..... the book description didn't lie. Allie has a huge chip on her shoulder. So much so that she is almost unlikable. She is attending a prestigious upscale college on a grant. She can't stand all the rich stuck up students. But her attitude makes her seem more stuck up than them. She just rubbed me the wrong way.I couldn't get behind Owen AKA Mr. X either. He came off as such a do gooder. Don't get me wrong.... I would have loved to see a good guy character but he was too 'in your face' about it. He should have just been wearing a sign that read 'Hey Im Friggin Awesome. I rescue worms and plants trees. LOOK AT ME.'I didn't hate the book. I just didn't find anything all that special about it. It was bland, the characters were two dimensional, and barely likable.
