The two made for a sizzling story that kept me seated with the pages turning.Shasta was relatable and easy to like. As was Blake. The two had instant chemistry even though they didn't see eye to eye on many things. The story was well written. An author to watch.

Her writing is always tight, her stories engaging, and her characters realistic and memorable. But Going Solo is—in my opinion—her best work yet. There’s a new level of sophistication in this story about a veteran voice coach and the prickly young singer he takes under his wing. A potent attraction between them smolders from the beginning despite an age gap, then builds slowly on all levels—mental, emotional and physical—as Ms. Mills skillfully reveals the vulnerabilities of her characters. Come along for the heady ride. Stay for the satisfying ending.

The chemistry between Shasta, the spunky rock star, and vocal coach, Blake is felt in every scene. I was captured from beginning to end - could not put the book down.
