The story of a dysfunctional family where there is a tragic accident that leaves two sister's bound together. After their mother leaves the sisters to go establish herself in New York, she meets with an untimely death. This death starts a different life path for each of the sisters.Highly recommend this to anyone interested in fashion. That part was mostly lost on me. Still, I liked the story of the sisters.The editing is bad so there are many mistakes that have to be overlooked.

The author writes about the designers of a by gone era and weaves their garments into the story of two sisters abandoned by their mother. An unhappy woman with unfulfilled dreams.
