By Brigitte Mandell Essential for any RN- or anyone in the medical field for that matter. The organization is excellent. It offers a time saving list of abbreviations that are classified by category (e.g., CARDIOVASCULAR; SKIN; DEMOGRAPHICS etc.). It also contains a longer list in alphabetic order. This will be a life saver (pun intended) for nursing students as well. Kim's book is based on her experience as both an RN and an instructor.
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Lifesaver! By Samuel M. It almost felt like cheating to have this list of terms available. Having someone take the time to hand-select which terms are most common and relevant was SO helpful. I wasn't able to memorize all of them but the ones I did have some up time and time again. It's great that they are categorized since it let's me focus and go deep in a particular area, where I most need to have these terms down.
