EVERYTHING'S COMING UP ROSY When Rosy McBride is left at the altar on her wedding day, she’s devastated. She heads back to her hometown of Galveston, thinking she’s going to collapse from sorrow. But her family has another plan: set her up with an old friend, Larson. As he reveals his feelings, Rosy pulls back, but he is determined to help her find her way again—in love, in life, and in all that matters most. FOR THE LOVE OF VIOLET Even though Violet McBride owns a business called Romantic Images, which teaches people how to live romantically, her own life has become colorless and lonely. That is, until Morgan Jones, a geek who’s maddeningly outspoken, suddenly shows up at her front door. In spite of Morgan’s ecentric ways, Violet discovers the real meaning of romance—and love. FORGET ME NOT LILY Lily McBride opens a counseling business, but since she knows little about her chosen field, she breaks all the standard rules of therapy and instead relies on her quirky common sense and God’s wisdom to help her clients. From the beginning, though, she knows she’ll have to break the most solemn of counselor/patient vows—the one that says she cannot fall in love with Rubin McCall, her most eccentric and impossibly irresistible patient. DREAMING OF HEATHER After Heather McBride’s perfect life comes undone, she finds herself on an unexpected date with free-spirited Evan Finch, who not only reawakens her artistic passions, but gives her courage to fall in love without a day-planner. Review Texas Wildflowers is a truly enjoyable read. Unlike the previous Four-in-One Collection it is set in contemporary times, but also focusses on the stories of four sisters. The plots are well developed and characters are likeable, even though I found Violet to be a little antagonistic she was still a strong and believeable heroine. The secondary characters in these stories are also well developed and have their own personalities shine through within the stories. I enjoyed this book, I think you will too! (Michelle Barker Musing the Manuscript 2012-09-05)This is another great book by publisher Barbour. This book has four stories that are related to each other but are terrific as standalone stories as well. I liked how each of the four McBride sisters had their own unique personalities and therefore each of the romance stories was different. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a quick clean romance to read. (Irene Grove Goodreads.com 2013-06-03)I really enjoyed this set of novellas. They were sweet, fun, and interesting. Four Texas Romance books in one! This book is about the McBride sisters. They were raised in Galveston, Texas and enjoy the fact that their mother owned a Scrapbooking Shop on Galveston's popular Strand. All three girls are on their own living in different parts of Texas. Each one of them is single and waiting for their soul mates.Everything's Coming Up Rosy! The girls have come together in Galveston for Rosy's wedding but it has come very apparent that she has been left at the altar. How could this happen they love each other. Where can her Henry be? She is going to kill him!She realizes she pushed too hard for a marriage that Henry just was not ready for. So instead of killing him she closes herself up in her old bedroom at her parent's house. Then her best bud, Lars shows up as her knight in shining armor to pull her from the pit of depression. Why had she not seen what a special man Lars was, he knew her better than anyone?God had a better plan for Rosy. For the Love of Violet! Violet owns her own business called Romantic Images. Her business is doing so well she has someone else running the business for her. Violet loves hiking and living in this scenic town of Alpine, Texas. As she is enjoying a quiet day when she hears a racket coming up her driveway. Stepping out of a rattle trap of a truck is a cowboy. He introduces himself as one of her online customers and he has a very high opinion of her. This was kind of freaky that this man would drive out to her home to meet her. He wants to pay her to teach him how to be romantic. Crazy! She was not sure how it happened but she agreed to help him for an outrageous price thinking he would not pay what she asked. But he agreed pay whatever she asked. They decided to hike up a mountain as they had their first lesson on living romantically. The more time she spent with Will the more she liked him. Maybe he was teaching her a lesson in romance.Forget Me Not Lily!Lily has started her own business as a Christian counselor but she does not have very much confidence in herself. When she attended school she missed a lot of classes helping a sick friend. Even though she got her degree she feels as if she miss some important lessons. She has several patients and they all seem to be happy under her care. Her motto is to not just be there counselor but their friend. One day a very handsome man comes to her office to make an appointment for counseling. He feels it is not necessary but his boss slash friend thinks differently. Lily and Rubin meet to access his counseling needs and decide he really doesn't need counseling. Rubin kept making advances that were hard to miss and she decided to invite him to a party she was having at her home for all of her patient slash friends. Lily is attracted to Rubin but his gorgeous female boss also has her eyes set on Rubin. Would it be ethical for Lily to date Rubin?Dreaming of Heather!Heather has just resigned from her job. The job had been one of deceit and lies and she did not want to have any part of that kind of business. She felt like she had a load removed and was ready to move on to an honest profession. She owned her own home in Southeast Texas on Horseshoe Bayou. It was her beautiful relaxing haven. She likes sitting on her back porch watching God's majestic creations. As she sits enjoying the view a handsome man in a tuxedo comes walking up with a broad smile on his face. She must be having a vision. Come to find out he was her neighbor and needed a favor. He asked her if she would be his date for a wedding he had to attend. At first she considered the fact that she did not know this man from Adam. Then he explains that his deceased aunt had left him the house. His aunt had spoken often and kindly about Heather on several occasions when she was living. So he felt like he already knew Heather. They joked around and she decided since he really wasn't a complete stranger she would help him out and be his date for the wedding. Besides he was something else! After just one date they both knew there was a strong connection between the two of them.* * *I will not tell you how things ended so you will need to grab a copy of the book to find out if there was a happy ending.I had a great connection with this book because I live in the Piney Woods of Southeast Texas. Plus I have three daughters and two step-daughters that I had the pleasure and watching them fall in and out and in love. I would like to say they are all living happily ever after but they are all living their life the way they choose and that is what counts. The author wrote of the diverse situations of each sister as they sought their soul mates. These stories were sad at times, definitely funny and very romantic. God had a special plan for each sister.I found each story to be special in its own way.I highly recommend this book.DisclosureI received a free copy of this book from the author for review. I was in no way compensated for this review. It is my own opinion.

In her latest novel Anita Higman shows us just that!'Texas Wildflowers' is a 4 IN 1 collection of four novellas featuring the four sisters of the McBride family, the sort of family depicted perhaps by Norman Rockwell!Lively, funny and inspiring, each sister has a definite take on life in general. Their one constant is however their profound faith. They might live at the four corners (literaly) of the State, but their ties to their Mum and Dad , their childhood home (Galveston) and their deep love for each other is abundantly clear. The feeling you receive as you read each story is akin to a very strong wish to be adopted by such folks!Anita Higman brings us her flirty endearing romances once again and you can be sure anyone may read it!'The course of true love never did run smooth' (William Shakespeare) or so it would seem..Everything's coming up Rosy (definitively my favourite of all four stories!)Forget Me Not LilyFor the love of VioletDreaming of HeatherFour great stories...Four lovely ladies from the lone star state, each looking for a special someone and new direction, each blessed with just the right blend of love, faith and a good dose of humour!Be prepared for a few good laughs and enjoy a light hearted read!Christian romance for all and the perfect antidote to a dreary winter evening.I give it 4 stars!I received this book free from KATHY CARLTON WILLIS COMMUNICATIONS as part of their blogger review program.I am disclosing this in accordance with the FTC 16 CFR, Part 255 'Guides concerning the use of endorsements and testimonials in advertising. Enjoyable Christian Romance By Stacey First of all, I would like to extend a heartfelt "Thank you" to Anita Higman and her publisher for sending me a copy of "Texas Wildflowers" to review for them. I am truly grateful for this generosity. I really appreciate the time, effort and expense it takes to make a reviewer copy available to me.Anita Higman's anthology, "Texas Wildflowers" is a touching and engaging collection of four romantic novellas chronicling the lives and loves of the four McBride sisters (Rosy, Lily, Violet and Heather). This charming book makes for heart-warming reading on a cold winter night. Just curl up in front of the fireplace with some cocoa and a blanket. Although each tale felt a bit rushed rather than developed, this got me thinking that this is how the Lord pursues us: full-throttle and with complete abandon. Each story is rated individually below.***After being left at the altar, Rosy McBride returns to Galveston Island to heal in "Everything's Coming Up Rosy". But Rosy's pity party is interrupted when a long-lost friend declares his feelings of love to this woman who has sworn off romance for good.***Violet McBride is about to "settle" for a safe love match in "For the Love of Violet". Then Morgan Jones shows up on her doorstep - literally. Is Morgan hiring Violet to teach him how to romance a woman so he can romance her?****"Forget Me Not Lily" partners therapist Lily McBride with a new patient. Rubin seeks Lily out when his boss demands that he receive counseling to overcome a past breakup because it is affecting his work. This novella has several quirky and likable characters that make the pages turn quickly.*****"Dreaming of Heather" is a beautifully written story about the final McBride sister, Heather, who has just received a rather unique invitation from her neighbor, Evan. The message of speaking the truth in love is an important lesson for a Christian to learn.
