The topic of healthy eating as a way of life to combat illnesses and aging related conditions was always interesting to me. More and more medical doctors incorporate holistic medicine into their practices. This book is written by a doctor who’s credentials are exactly what I’d be looking to have in my doctor. He is a practicing MD who specializes in integration of Chinese and Western medicines. I was amazed at the amount of invaluable information he packed into this 70-page book. A consultation with a doctor of this kind (I've heard of a few that practice in large metropolitan areas) would've cost hundreds of dollars per visit, so to have his thoughts and suggestions laid out for a mere $9.97 is a giveaway.I've been trying to adhere to a healthy eating life style for the last decade or so, and yet, it is no easy task. I’ve had my share of medical conditions, including Lyme disease after being bitten by a tick and later a high grade endometrial cancer, so healthier lifestyle is a necessity for me. No matter what I learn on the subject, I am always on the lookout for more information regarding healing properties of foods and supplements, including essential oils.Dr Moore dedicates a large portion of the material to combating IBS and other digestive issues which is so important since so many are suffering for one form of it or another. Not only he talks about many foods and supplements and their beneficial properties, but he also has a good portion of the book dedicated to yummy and easy to make recipes.The section on juicing is amazing. i never tried juicing because I was of the mindset that it's better to consume fruits and veggies as a whole. The way he talks about juicing and how it needs to be properly done was an eye opener for me.What I find unique about this book, it's perfectly suitable for an experienced healthy eating fanatic just as much as for someone who's looking to switch over from a standard not so healthy diet.With his "Step Action!" program, it's easy to just do one thing at a time, incorporate what you can of his suggestions into your everyday life, because i believe it's physically impossible to do all of it for a person who leads a normal hectic life with family, children, and everyone's health issues.This is a great book to have as a reference so you can look to improve your quality of life. I have it open on my laptop and as I work through the day, i keep going back to it and re-reading different sections to let this information sink in more.Everything he talked about resonates with me, and yet, simple stuff like drinking water could be such a complex issue. I thought I was being good to myself by drinking RO (reverse osmosis) water, only to read in his book that it's important to ionize it to make it better. I am actually looking into following that advice.This got me hooked on reading the whole book and then going back and focusing on different sections separately:"The sad truth is that most people will hold a strong opinion about something they know nothing about. Most physiciansknow nothing of nutrition. For example one time a nutritionist and a physician blamed carrotjuice for turning a patients skin orange. When I told them it was due to the carrot juicecausing the temporary release of excess bilirubin that was of poor quality, they balked. I bidthem to bear with me and draw blood to check my belief. I was correct. We should be awarethat carrot juice would no more turn our skin yellow than a beet could turn us red or lettucecan turn us green. "I highly recommend this book to anyone, especially those who are looking to feel better physically and emotionally and know that their diets are lacking healthy ingredients. This is not a book that will put you on a diet, this is a gateway to a whole new lifestyle that will greatly improve your life overall. You can incorporate as much or as little as you can and immediately notice improvement in your quality of life. Great book - highly recommend!
