I appreciate how the author does not gloss over these hardships by pretending that God will take all of these away. Instead clearly presented here is how Christ can help us through these harsh times in our lives.Family secrets coming to light, cancer, and family members’ unbelief are just part of what Kane tries to handles on his own. Yet, it is only through Christ and Christian friends’ help that he is able to gain victory. While I’m not ignoring the romantic aspects of this story with Kristen, Kane has so much on his plate before he is ready for a happily ever after. I fully agreed with the timeline in this story and how a romance did not take the place true life changing love of God.This is an author whose books just keep getting better and better. Plus I found it interesting to see it all through a male’s perspective. What an inspiring story!The author provided a copy for an honest review.

I've loved every story he's written but he just keeps getting better! Out of the Ashes showed me that God can heal the pain of losing someone we hold dear.Tk is getting more and more prolific with his writing and I love it! He publishes a new christian romance almost every month or two (i think?). Anyways... Good book and a must read for anyone searching for a gripping christian fiction.

While he is charming and attractive, he has a quick temper that often gets him into more trouble than he’d like. When one unlucky night lands him behind bars, Kane is forced to deal with the hard reality of his mother's rapidly deteriorating health. Experience by experience Kane begins to see how much bigger God is than his problems. Just as he thinks he has it all figured out, a family secret comes to light that might ruin everything.Fire can destroy, but it also can cleanse. It holds the power to make new what was once old. It is through these fires in our lives that we are refined into something more than we once were. When we lose ourselves, we gain Jesus. Out of the Ashes is a contemporary Christian romance novel that dives deep into the heart of a believer that is struggling. Kane, just like everyone else, is not perfect, but he has a desire to know God. This Christian Romance novel will inspire you, move you and start a fire in your heart.A must read for every born-again Christian reader that is seeking a great Contemporary Christian Romance with a little heat. AMAZONAlthough I found things to like about this book, I think that the author's other book, "Amongst the Flames" is the one I like the best so far. Kane did have a lot of anger in him that often got him in trouble. He had that as well as quite a few different issues on his plate. He came across as pretty human. I did like him though and the fact that he loved his mom and cared about others was shown pretty well. That's even before anything changed in his life.This story does have a few surprises to it. Not only to the characters but for the reader as well. Several of the characters have see-sawing emotions but isn'that a lot like real life? When I said that I was also thinking of the "girl" that Kane meets (Kristen). Of course some of those up and down emotions had to do with people interfering in their lives.There is a Sneak Preview of, "The Perfect Cast"" at the end of the book."Ember & Ashes: BOOK 3- Up In Smoke?" is the next book in this series.I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
