About the Author Eliza Freed graduated from Rutgers University and returned to her hometown in rural South Jersey. Her mother encouraged her to take some time and find herself. After three months of searching, she began to bounce checks and her neighbors began to talk; her mother told her to find a job.She settled into Corporate America, learning systems and practices and the bureaucracy that slows them. Eliza quickly discovered her creativity and gift for story telling as a corporate trainer and spent years perfecting her presentation skills and studying diversity. It's during this time she became an avid observer of the characters we meet and the heartaches we endure. I love the concept of this series and I love the writing style of Eliza Freed. I loved Jason. I love how he is flawed. How he knows this and how he tries. I love how he tries to do right even when it comes out wrong. I was hoping that things would work out for him. I was hoping Charlotte would turn out different. But alas that didn’t happen. And I am okay with that I really really am.Not all books end how we hope and usually that twist is good. It makes the book stronger and better. This last in the series that was wonderful though left me not so happy. That is not to say the writing isn’t good and the strength of the story and characters aren’t good because it is. The premise of the story is excellent. The writing engages you but for me what was missing was what kept me in the story and that is Jason and hope. HOpe for him and hope that Charlotte changes and sees Jason for him. For me what hurts the book is Charlotte. I don’t like this Charlotte. I don’t like her character she hurts what was built in the last two books and takes away hope.In the first book Jason makes a mistake and pays the consequences. Big time. Charlotte though is unforgiving. She is hypocritical and she hurts Jason. This is the guy who was there for her. He made a mistake and she acts like she forgives but never does. She treats him with disdain and acts like he is a horrible person. HE tries so hard for her to see reason and that they love each other but she refuses. She closes herself off to love and emotion. She cheats herself and him out of love and happiness. She stays this way even though she says she loves him. Even in this book when she is with little Jay she is tearing down Jason. Enough is enough. Charlotte for me is what was wrong with this book. She was not as real as I had hoped for. Her inflexibility and her sometimes harsh comments weren’t great. Jason took care of her when she needed someone yet she is unforgiving and harsh towards him and about him. She acts more holier than thou than she should. When redemption is something she needs she is more inflexible. I just didn’t like what she is in this book. Her choices her ways didn’t set well with me. The one part of the book series I loved is not there. For me Jason made this series. Noble is great but the real feeling of getting to know Jason flaws and all and how he loves was what I loved. It’s not the same as the other two for the feel is more somber and the element that gives spark isn’t there. Jason is the spark I need he is what I love and without that it makes this book hard.Saying this I can say the book draws you in as you see if Charlotte can become who she wants to be. The writing is emotional and the topic dramatic to the end. In a book where people struggle with right and wrong and some do really disrespect others because their feelings are raw and worn on their sleeve we learn that our actions have consequences and sometimes even love isnt enough. A powerful tale to the end. The book will gut you and you will be thrown for a loop. Everything isn’t what it seems. A powerfully emotional book that does teach us to learn to love, forgive and see others for who they are and what brought them to where they are in life.

When Nick finally gets Charlotte to marry him you almost believe that Jason is going to be out of her mind for good. Nick is who she married and who she will spend forever with. As Jason's dad's health becomes imperative they start to spend more time together. Did she make the right decision? Is Nick truly her happy ever after?Oh my gosh.....I don't even know where to begin. I loved this book-just as I have loved this series. I have grown to love these characters even with their flaws, so I am sad to see it come to an end; I am also sad to see certain things play out. I'm all for no spoilers, so I'll try my hardest to express my feelings without giving away too much. Charlotte....what..are..you...doing. There's one thing that she does that just....irritates me to no end! I cannot believe her sometimes, and I totally wanted to have faith in her but I should've known. Ugh. Nick-or Noble, whichever you prefer-he is too good. I'm not sure how he can take everything that happens, but I wouldn't love him as much as I do if he didn't handle everything as well as he does. That's just Noble for you. And Jason-I don't know whether to be mad or to love him.There are so many twists and turns within this story-I swear the first big thing happens about a quarter of the way through the book, then something happens halfway. I was so stressed about what was going on because I didn't want the book to end with something big happening, especially since it's the last in the series. But everything wraps up nicely-my one big twist that I am not completely okay with, I'm not sure if I'm angry that it happened or if I'm okay with it. Charlotte grows as a character, she has her moments-that's for sure. But who doesn't? She becomes someone that I hoped she would be in the second book, it just takes something huge to happen to her for that change to occur. I'm sad that this series is done, but I am happy with how it ended.

Amazing ending to one of my favorite series By Christina Complimentary copy provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review.Few authors can elicit an ugly cry from me, so when an author can do it more than once in the same book? It is a testament to just how good it is.I became a fan of this series from the very first chapter of Free Me. I was completely wrapped up in Jason Leer from the get go. I’m a sucker for not only anti-heroes, but of love born out of friendship. I love those friends to lovers stories, the ones full of so much shared history. I rooted for Jason Leer from the very beginning so when the events of the end of the book and then the subsequent Redeem Me were revealed, I felt gutted. I had hope that Annie (Charlotte) and Jason would find their way back to each other, regardless of how perfect Noble was.I was not however in any way, shape, or form prepared for the events of this book.This will likely be one of my briefest reviews because there are so many spoiler-worthy events in the book and if you’re like me and have loved this series as I have, there is no way I would wreck it for you. Let me just say this; prepare to cry. Stock up on tissues, you will need them.Jason returns to Salem County when Butch’s health begins to fail. If things weren’t awkward enough with Annie living with Noble and their impending nuptials, Jason has also brought his two-year-old son, Jason Jr., or Jay. Once again Annie finds Jason getting under her skin; the passion between the two of them is still alive and well. But she understands that Noble is what is best for her and knows that her relationship with Jason is far too flammable to work. Just how will Jason manage to work his way into her life if not physically? What happens will just downright stun you.Immediately after finishing I was ready to dive back into a re-read of book one and as soon as I have a break in my schedule, I’m going to do just that. These characters will continue to leave an impression on me for quite some time. I read a lot; like well over two hundred books a year a lot. After a while the plots and characters tend to fade into one another but that is not the case with this series. I will always be enchanted by Jason Leer.
