You know what they say about mixing business with pleasure … When the breakdown of her marriage leaves Sadie Turner a single mum, she vows that she will make it on her own. After all, why would a smart businesswoman with a PhD and the prospect of a life-changing deal on the horizon need a man? But Sadie’s man-ban is tested to the limit when she travels to Monaco to meet her potential investor. There she encounters Mac, a rough and ready playboy billionaire who lives life in the fast lane – and that’s when the real adventure starts! But Sadie’s heart isn’t the only thing on the line. There’s also the business she’s worked so hard to make a success; the business that could so easily slip out of her grasp if she doesn’t seal the deal within thirty days … Published under Hot Choc Lit - slightly raised heat level but not erotica! Previously self-published as Hawaiian Affair. Revised and edited by Choc Lit March 2015.

About the Author With a background in TV and radio, Debbie has also previously run her own importing company and worked in finance. In 2009 she returned to the job she loves - presenting on QVC UK, whilst writing romance for the thinking woman! "When you're 12 and your teacher says 'please finish your creative writing homework - I'm dying to find out what happens...' it makes you think about your future. So I promptly signed up to become... an accountant. Then a radio and TV presenter, now a QVC shopping channel presenter. But at least I get to do a weekly blog - (12,000-17,000 views per week as at March 2013) - always longer than they should be, 'cos - of course - I'm supposed to be writing! 'Serial writing course attender', RNA New Writers' Scheme, and script-writer wannabe, I am loving having finally finished my first romantic novel ('Hawaiian Affair'). There's another book called 'Till the Fat Lady Slims' which pops up from time to time from second hand sellers - creating the soft copy and uploading it to Amazon is on the list! It's a self-help book based on 'freedom eating' - body-signals and freedom of choice. Plus there's a always my only paid commission (so far) - good old 'Clive the Camel' - a very short kids' story, broadcast by Buena Vista (Disney) 'Rise and Shine' breakfast show from the early 90's. Considering the file was written about eight computers ago, it's a tall order! My second novel will be based on 'how to find a husband' and it's going to be a script first - with a time-slip plot, partly current day, party 1930's. Valentine's Surprise, my first upload here, is based on an original short story written for QVC UK viewers and blog readers around Feb 14th 2010. Enjoy it! It's my little practise for when I get to upload the full-length novels!" I can also remember a time when I meandered around a jetty, approaching the queue of people, and like Sadie in this novel, tried to pretend I belonged. I've been in the luxury world and really did fit in, and this novel fits into that world too.I can see why the author, Debbie Flint, is a QVC presenter. She did one heck of a job in the presentation of this romantic novel. I think you will like the feisty, single mom, Sadie Turner. I think you will also like Mac, the billionaire playboy. Just remember, if you mix business with pleasure - you may be in for a surprise!Jeannie Walker - Award Winning Author - "Fighting the Devil" - A True Story of Consuming Passion, Deadly Poison, and Murder

I've been on a book withdrawal for a while now and have been in desperate search of a sweet read, so I grabbed this.Like I said, requested for the cover. It looked like Hollywood glamour, could you blame me? It sounded a little like Fifty Shades of Grey but I fought those creeper vibes. After Sadie Turner flies to Monaco for business, she finds herself soon stumbling into a yacht, so she decides to climb aboard and pretend to be a buyer. Soon, she meets the billionaire owner of that very yacht, Mac, and stumbles oh-so-predictably into his arms when attempting to greet him. Sadie lies and says her name is Sam - her middle name - then they bone.Eventually, they meet again. Because, why not? Mac, who fancies himself a playboy with a stone-stiff heart, ala Chuck Bass, is hurt on the inside when she says her name is Sadie. Not Sam. But instead of running away, screaming, when she gives him a snark attitude, he's forced to stick around as they're forced to complete "business deals."The book confused me in more ways than one. One minute, Sadie is pining for Mac, then she's hating him. Also, she's a mom, but you'd never know because her children are rarely mentioned. Mac stats his playboy status more than she probably calls her kids.Throughout this dreadful little novel, they completely "business deals", gaze ruefully at one another from across the room, Sadie expresses hatred over Mac's actions, bone some more, and rant about jeggings.Yeah, so not for me. I'll definitely stick to YA.

The characters really came to life. A great first novel my Ms Flint and I look forward eagerly to her next
