Haunted by memories of a tiny coffin, Callie can’t understand how God could expect her to put her heart on the line a second time. But the evasive little girl attending her Sunday School class is so obviously in trouble that Callie finds her resolve cracking. Iris and Samantha Evans are living on borrowed time. Deserted, orphaned, betrayed, and deceived, they need rescuing in the worst way. Steve Evans had his life changed by God. A reformed drug addict, he’s searching for the family he abandoned ten years ago and praying for a miracle. The road to healing is rocky. But as Callie confronts her worst fears by bringing father and daughters together in a risky bid for reconciliation, she realizes that the Evans family aren’t the only ones God wants to rescue from a tortured past. TERRI Caring for a new foster child while running a thriving day care should keep Terri Hayes more than occupied, but her heart longs for something more. She hungers for a family of her own, and at twenty-nine, she feels time ticking away. When a busted pipe floods her home, Steve Evans offers her the family’s basement apartment as a temporary solution. Steve is widower, a father of two teenaged girls, and a successful writer. He is also the object of Terri’s secret affections. At least he was until a casual comment from him leads her to believe that he has all the family he’ll ever want. Iris and Samantha Evans have set their sights on Terri as the perfect stepmother. Their matchmaking plans include equal parts of prayer and deception. Will their scheming result in the wedding of their dreams, or will the harsh confrontation between Steve and the parents of Terri’s foster child be an obstacle they can’t overcome? PAM Four years ago, Pam’s divorce devastated her. The cruelty of her ex husband crushed her spirit. After battling personal demons, she’s finally made a life for herself. Now remarried, raising her kids, working at a job she loves, the scars of Alan Archer’s emotional abuse are beginning to fade. Her newfound happiness turns to bitterness when Alan returns to Garfield. Confronted with a wall of pain she thought she’d buried, Pam must learn that secrets and carefully cultivated indifference do not equal forgiveness. Alan Archer has returned to Garfield with a new wife, a fresh commitment to God, and a terminal heart condition. His mission? To leave a Christian legacy for his children and to gain Pam’s forgiveness for the sins of his past. Two hearts hang in the balance waiting for the delicate touch of God’s healing hands.

For me, the author's ability to immerse the reader into the story completely is what distinguishes the "best" from the "okay" and "good." As a reader, I long for the stories that entangle me in the emotions - the drama - all that lies between the written words. Does the story bring me to tears of joy or sadness? Does my blood boil at injustice? Does my soul soar as God's Promises and Truths are revealed in the writing? This series of books meets all of those characteristics. I have seen the author's progression of writing skills grow through each one. I especially identified with Pam because of the abuse I suffered at the hands of my ex-husband. I have walked that path of forgiveness - even to the point of inviting him and his fiance to join us for Thanksgving Dinner. Definitely not easy, but a necessary step in my healing and in my Faith-walk. The story rings true to life and true to God's Word.My one criticism is that the books are filled with spelling and grammatical errors. As a writer myself, I understand how fingers struggle to type as quickly as thoughts flow. And I've experienced the difficulty of catching errors in my own work because my mind knew what it was supposed to see written on the page. Though we live in a technological age of Spell- and Grammar-check, there are severe limitations to computer-aided editing; and because we are human, self-editing is far from perfect. That is why the eyes and sharpened red pencil of an experienced editor are absolutely vital and necessary before publication.Spelling and grammatical errors leap off the page and distract me from the emotions of the story. One or two errors in a novel don't upset me. I notice them, but keep reading. However, frequent errors throughout a novel or series of novels disturb me and distract me from what the author is saying which greatly lowers my enjoyment of the story. I want to read, not be forced into the role of editor. I expect free or self-published books to be less-than-perfect; but I demand more from books for which I choose to pay - especially now that I am retired.Although the stories in this series are really good, I have to give a less-than-stellar review because of the many, many errors. I utilized the feature on my Kindle which allows readers to report errors, and I hope the errors are corrected quickly so that future readers can be completely immersed in the story.I have pre-ordered the next novel in the series, and I so hope it will be better-edited. I do enjoy this author's writing very much.

"Terri" is about love, Christian friendship and was very good. "Pam" was a book full of hurt, forgiveness and much more. All three books were good but I used a whole lot of tissues reading about Pam and the other people in the book. Forgiveness is so hard for mere humans but God is so good, merciful and gracious and gives us what we need to forgive others. I recommend these books. Enjoy them as you read of God' amazing love and forgiveness too.
