Progressive Christian blogger Fred Clark pokes fun at Young Earth Creationists who, obviously, don't get why the joke is on them. It's a quick read but it's only 99 cents and Fred is one of the good guys so throw him a dollar and download it today.

Fresh perspective By Mark Cicero I'm a long time reader of Fred Clark's blog, so this collection of essays taken from there was an immediate purchase for me. While all of them are available there, having them in a more convenient, more easily read format was plus. What sets Fred's perspective apart from the normal for these types of writings is that as a self identified Evangelical Christian, he is able to argue against them on their own territory, as it were. Not only is Creationism bad science, it is equally bad theology! So not only is it necessary to argue against them on scientific grounds, but it is also necessary to dispute their interpretation of what faith and "biblical literalism" mean, and whether the base conflict is even real.I find this viewpoint to be fresh, and often completely unremarked in more scientific based arguments. By not questioning the underlying assumption that what Fundamental Christians say about the Bible and it's "literal interpretation", we grant them unwarranted legitimacy.Anyone interested in a fresh perspective on this old debate would be well advised to pick up this book.

Well worth reading By Jennifer Kilmer If you read that Bill Nye or Neil Degrasse Tyson is debating a "creationist" like Ken Ham, and Ham states that his science is as good as his theology? Believe him. Nye or Tyson will tell you how creationist "science" is bunk. Fred Clark explains how creationist "theology" is bunk.As for the title....creationists insist that ALL animals were on Noah's Ark, and landed on Mount Ararat in the middle east. So....how did koalas get to Australia?Yeah. Creationists would be hysterical if they weren't screwing up kids' lives.
