Slemons Jacob Friedman has written a valuable book on learning scripture passages based on your learning style--auditory, visual, or kin esthetic. If you want to commit the Bible to heart, you will find clear and specific suggestions in this book. I would recommend the book to anyone who wants to improve his or her memory. The techniques are applicable to any learning task.

Learn the Precepts of the Lord, My Son, and Write Them Upon Your Heart and Mind By Bruce J Blanchard An essential guide in witnessing and evangelizing for the Lord is "knowing the Bible by heart and having the scriptures at your finger tips." I've been on the evangelizing end in talking to others about the joy of the Gospel, which is known as the Good News. The one thing to make the case stronger is knowing exactly what the Bible says. It gives you confidence and a greater credibility when witnessing. Mr. Jacob Friedman's book will help you Do just that. He makes a point earlier in the book that not everybody learns the same way. Not one way fits all. Some are visual, seeing and remembering the printed word. Others, as mentioned in the Bible, learn best by hearing and remembering. While others infuse it into themselves by action and doing, for this is their way. All of these paths are guiding us on the path to the memorization of the Word and all of these paths are valid in our own way of learning. This is the key to the secret of learning and memorizing the Word of God and this much is essential in knowing the Word for our personal witnessing.While this book in no way will give you ultimate success in speaking your heart and beliefs, my belief is Jacob Freidman's work will be an extra, added bonus to all your efforts and (with this help) all that you do in the service of the Lord will be further strengthened by you personally knowing the Word of God - as it is written. By you, with more verses at your fingertips, the more effective you will be in your Christian life. God's Word will be a lamp unto our feet, a guide in our path, and His Word written upon our hearts and minds.

By Reagans Mom Learning Styles are effectively described and are applicable to any learning endeavor. I am amazed that the author considers a full chapter of scripture as he presents his techniques for the different learning styles. The book is a fast read and maybe a review for many of us, however, it is certainly worth the time. I liked the added content Jacob Friedman offers. I know nothing about the author and have had no contact with the author before seeing this book so this is certainly an unbiased review.
